The Farmland Health Check-Up is now available province-wide across Ontario.
Whether you’re located in the north, south, east, or west of the province, you are eligible to participate in the Farmland Health Check-Up — no registration, application, or geographic restrictions apply.
Who Can Participate?
Any farmer in Ontario who wants to assess and improve their farmland health is eligible.
How to Participate
Participation is simple and free:
- Visit the Farmland Health Check-Up Website
Congratulations, you’ve made it to our website! Read about the program and its benefits. - Connect with a Certified Advisor.
Reach out to a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) or Professional Agrologist (P.Ag) who is trained to deliver the Farmland Health Check-Up.- Do you have an Advisor you regularly work with? Make sure they are certified to deliver the FCHU. Interested Advisors can visit the Advisor Certification page to learn how to start delivering the Check-Up.
- Not sure who to work with? Visit the Find an Advisor page to search for an Advisor. Remember, while working with someone local can be beneficial, there are no geographical restrictions and producers may work with Advisors located anywhere.
- Schedule a FHCU Assessment
Your Advisor will work with you to assess three key fields on your farm using the Farmland Health Check-Up workbook. - Receive Recommendations
Based on the assessment, your Advisor will help identify Best Management Practices (BMPs) tailored to your farm’s needs.
No Cost to Producers
The program is delivered free of charge to producers. Advisors are compensated directly through the program, for providing their expertise.
No Registration Required
Producers do not need to sign up or apply. Simply connect with a certified Advisor (Visit the Find an Advisor page) and begin your Check-Up.
