Farmland Health Check-up

In partnership with Ontario’s Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) and Professional Agrologists (P.Ag), the Farmland Health Check-Up is an opportunity to assess risks to on-farm soil health and water quality.

Opportunities to complete a Farmland Health Check-Up in the Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair watersheds are available. Producers are encouraged to participating technical specialist (a Certified Crop Advisor or a Professional Agrologist) to learn more.

The Farmland Health Check-Up provides farmers with a unique opportunity to work with a CCA or P.Ag free of charge. Three key fields on your farm will be assessed to establish both baseline farm health levels, and target levels.

Assess your farm for:

  • Water Erosion
  • Wind Erosion
  • Tillage Erosion
  • Subsurface Compaction
  • Organic Matter
  • Soil Life
  • Soil Chemistry
  • Phosphorus
  • Nitrogen
  • Pollinator Health
